My Favorite Kitchen Appliance…My Air Fryer

Why haven’t I bought an air fryer sooner?! WTF! I think air fryers were invented for people that hate to cook or are lazy cookers not for healthier food. Probably not good marketing to call people lazy but maybe the hey do you hate to cook might have worked. I probably would have purchased one sooner.

I’ve only used it a couple of time so far but it has been awesome. I’ve made salmon and asparagus and it only took 15 minutes to cook and very little mess. Also, prepped my ingredients for a new soup recipe – cauliflower and pear soup. It’s was delicious!

To help me on my air fryer journey, I picked up some silicone inserts to help with clean up because I also hate the mess that comes with cooking and then doing dishes. I should mention that the one I bought is a double so I can be cooking to different items at the same time or I can set it up to have on of dishes to start later without having to stop it and pop in the next dish. Or, I can take out the divider to accommodate a larger dish. The great thing is this only cost me £39 ($51), which I can imagine actually would cost much more in the states.

The real challenge will be using it to make my Mac & Cheese, which may be later this week or at the latest the end of November when a group of us are getting together for a potluck Thanksgiving. I will still need to use my stove for some of the prep but may take less time to bake. I’ll let you know how it goes! Also, want to see out it goes making cookies.

I’ll share my air fryer cooks on the photo gallery – I just have to remember to take the photos.

Our toaster oven is also an airfryer. Don’t use much for that. So a lot of students will be there for Thanksgiving? We’re going to be
    home.
